Dance/Movement Therapy Alternate Route Courses

These courses have been approved by the American Dance Therapy Association as meeting requirements for the Alternate Route R-DMT credential.

All classes are held in small groups, either in person or on Zoom, providing an experiential exposure to Dance/Movement Therapy theory and practice.

The institute offers five different 45-hour intensive courses: four in DMT Theory and Practice and one in DMT Group Process. These five courses complete the DMT Group Process requirement and 180 course hours of the 270 Theory and Practice hours required for R-DMT certification. Readings and writing assignments to enhance experiential learning are sent to students one month before the course begins. All courses are held as small (currently online) cohorts, with students dancing for self-discovery and skill-building through a rich academic/experiential learning process.
