The Methods of Blanche Evan for the Higher Functioning Client Nov. 7, 8, 9 and 14, 15, 16, 2025. 45 Hours - 3 ADTA Credits Online Synchronous Study via Zoom This experiential and didactic course provides an in-depth exploration of dance/movement therapy with the higher functioning client seen in non-psychiatric settings. The techniques and methods are developed for the clinical population who seek therapy to deal with life challenges and who have the ego strength to work in insight-oriented dance/movement therapy. The training will focus on dance/movement therapy techniques and methods for creative transformation, addressing themes including but not limited to: developmental and character issues, family and relationship dynamics, blocks to meeting personal potential, life style issues, body image issues, grief and life transitions and recovery from trauma. The course will explore the theories and contemporary applications of the Blanche Evan method of Dance/Movement Therapy.
